With the sale of my sled I had some cash to get the rear bumper replaced. It came in on Friday, I prepped, primed and painted it over the weekend. This morning the paint was dry so I mounted it up.

There and back again.....
My vision for the Jeep had originally included some form of rooftop tent. I had looked at the FlipPac and WilderNest models but budget and availability never lined up.
Since the Comanche has such a unique bed size, finding a topper that fit was not an easy task. While perusing a web-forum devoted to the Comanche I came across a posting for a WilderNest tent topper. It was mounted on the same year and model as my Jeep. I hemmed and hawed and schemed through much of that day. I decided to go for it, they were asking $600, not bad considering how difficult it is to find these. The problem? It was in Littleton.
Colorado, that is. Over 1900 miles one way! I called, it was still available and struck the deal. I had to be there in a little over 48 hours.
I awoke at 3AM Saturday and hit the road. In St Charles, IL at 6:30PM, I grabbed a bite to eat and crashed on my cousins couch. At midnight I was off again. I rolled in to Littleton at 2:30PM Sunday.
