Today we did some shopping to thank Wal-Mart for a safe and quiet night in their lot. While there, we saw a nice looking 4x4 overland rig. Talked to the owners and learned they had driven up from Argentina!
Later, we found a breakfast place with a laundromat next door, clean clothes, finally! We also discovered the St. Pierre National Grasslands office was closed awaiting repairs after the Missori spilled its banks. Most of the buildings in this area were sandbagged. Most buildings in St. Pierre were sandbagged |
We drove South through the park on our way to Nebraska. It is amazing how the geography changes within miles of each state line we cross.

We drove about 20 miles into the park before backtracking to the Merritt Reservoir to cool off. We spent the remainder of the day here. As luck would have it, they offered free camping. Tyler spent close to 6 hours in the water. Tonight we are here:(42.629627,-100.885765)
