Off to Wisconsin...

Today we said goodbye to the Bonins of Illinois and headed North into Wisconsin.  We passed miles of cornfields you could get lost in as we meandered through the countryside.  We stopped in Lodi where we saw an attractive playground.  After stretching our legs we headed North and came upon another free ferry,  this time across Lake Wisconsin.  It was a much quicker ride and we were on our way.
Free Ferry ride #2
Once off the ferry we didn't have far to go and arrived at Devil's Lake State Park near Baraboo, WI.  The park honored our National Parks Pass and waived the entrance fee!  Tyler took to earning his Wisconsin Explorers patch,  while we explored the park.  We also had a strenuous hike to see "Balancing Rock" and some glacial pot holes.  We should both sleep well tonight.
Balancing Rock....big deal.
Devil's Doorway with random guy that didn't move for our picture.
Glacial potholes
Descending Pothole trail
Cool rock we spotted descending trail.
After our hike we headed to the North end of the park to camp.
We enjoyed another nice fire and threw caution to the wind and cooked our dessert over the campfire even though the directions expressly warned not too.
Jiffy Pop via campfire.  Do not attempt. Professionals on closed course.
Maybe off to St Croix Falls tomorrow not sure yet.
Badges! Badges! We don't ....
